The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a special program of Tribhuvan University in the semester system which consists of eight semesters. The student will have to go through the various core and optional papers along with internship and report writing. BBA provides a fundamental education in business and management principles allowing students to specialize in one of the multiple concentration areas, including administration, business economics, finance, accounting, or human resources. Students of business administration will learn to develop managerial skills, create business plans and evaluate risks. Students looking for a career in management and administration in banks, finance, corporations, the stock market should choose to study business administration. At present, 30 business schools are offering a BBA program with the affiliation of Tribhuvan University.

The specific objectives of this program are:
Prepare students to fill up the middle level managerial positions in the business sector.
Provide knowledge and requisite skills in different areas of management like human resource, finance, operations and marketing to give a holistic understanding of a business system.
To equip the students with knowledge related to qualitative and quantitative techniques for critical thinking and problem solving
Provide professional management education with a blend of computer and management information system courses.
Prepare students to proceed onto higher level study in business administration.
Eligibility of Admission
Can be from any stream be it, Management, Hotel Management, Science, or Humanities.
A minimum CGPA of 1.8 in 10+2 with a minimum of D+ in all individual subjects or minimum of second division marks in any equivalent Board.
A minimum of 40% in CMAT.
Before admission applicants are required to appear in the entrance test commonly known as the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management. The test will be based on international testing patterns and standards. It includes the areas like:
Verbal ability
Quantitative ability
Logical reasoning
General awareness
Business and economics
All together hundred (100) questions with a total weight of 100 marks in the CMAT contain twenty (20) questions in each section. Students must secure a minimum of 40% in order to qualify for the interview.
Interview: Applicants who secure above 40% in the CMAT will be short-listed and interviewed for the admission process.
Merit List
Admissions of the students in this program will be strictly on the basis of a merit list. Merit list is prepared on the following basis:
BBA students will be required to take General Education Courses of a total of 36 credits hours, Business Administration Major Courses of 66 credit hours, and Specialization courses of 18 credit hours. Students have to prepare summer reports and internship reports in their seventh and eighth semesters respectively.
